Buy local this holiday season Providence has some great options for buying local this holiday season. The city is encouraging holiday shoppers to buy local with their Buy Providence initiative. Visit the website to find local retailers by category. CraftlandStarting December 1st and running through December 22nd, Craftland is back in Downcity Providence. Craftland is an annual holiday sale in Providence that celebrates all kinds of handmade objects and the people who make them. Craftland is open at 235 Westminster Street Wed-Sun 11am to 6pm and open late Thursdays and Saturdays until 8pm. Providence Wintertime Farmers' MarketSaturdays, December 1st through May 31st, AS220 hosts the Providence Wintertime Farmers' Market at their space at 115 Empire Street.
