Do you happen to know what new tenant was added to the Dublin Mall, in the space that's sort of between the front of the mall and Belk? That whole area was under construction when I was there several months ago.

I think having Costco replace Sears at the mall, like it replaced Pennys at Cumberland in Mall in AtL, would be a great idea for the Mall and Macon not sure if HSG would know how to setup that sort of deal or not but it could help the mall area rebound some.

Save-a-lot, in front of the Milledgeville Mall, closed several weeks ago, and the older of the two Pizza Huts in town has also closed. The message board in front of the former Long John Silver's/A&W says "Hibachi Express Coming Soon", but there hasn't been any mention of it in the papers. Our Kentucky Fried Chicken closed unexpectedly, and its franchiser kept it open as Down South Restaurant, which lasted about a week.

I heard a rumor that the Save-a-lot building will be demolished to make way for a LongHorn Steakhouse, but I haven't seen any credible evidence yet.

This is a great step in the right direction. Mall of Georgia has always been ahead, and IMO still is, but less now. It is newer, nicer looking, has Nordstrom, but NP isn't too far behind.
It definitely distinguishes itself from Town Center at Cobb. One day, I think that eventually NorthPoint will evolve into something like Mall of Georgia, and Mall of Georgia will evolve into something more like Perimeter (upscale), but still larger and more of a "mega-mall". Kind of like a mini Mall of America I suppose. Hopefully Lenox will evolve to be something like Houston Galleria (it already is, just with less upscale stores and smaller), just larger and more upscale, I suppose. Phipps I'm not sure about, but I'm hoping that the Saks/Nordstrom wings will become even more upscale and the Belk wing will just be kind of a midscale/more upscale children's stores and moderate price stores that aren't at Lenox, etc. Like maybe move Coldwater Creek, etc. to the Belk wing and put boutiques there or something.

Yes, if you look at the pictures, they show entrances just like The Avenues in Atlanta, so they would probably be much like that.
This is the Adam's Family that is trying to sell this (aka Adams Farm Road, Adam's Family...) so hopefully we'll see more developments from them.

I wouldn't get excited because the same maps were around years ago for this project... when trees start to fall, i'll start paying more attention.

This is awesome. I was really hoping this land would be developed. There are so many retailers that would do well in columbus. I just hope they can have a development that is more of a walk able lifestyle center unlike Columbus park crossing. Something similar to atlantic station in Atlanta.
