Just limited to Houston, I'd say Pennzoil Place and the Tenneco Building (whatever it's called nowadays).

The Tenneco Building is one of those rare early, mid-60's modernist buildings that was done right, with great attention to detail and style.  It's a classic of its era and has withstood the test of time.

The Williams Tower. It's my favorite tower in the state and in the nation. Great building.

Nice Thread!  I like the Williams Tower as well.   I don't think Texas gets the credit it deserves for its towers.

I voted for the Bank of America Plaza in Dallas.  It's a modest building and looks very nice at night.  It looks even taller than the 920 feet that it boasts...and it has no antennas or spires to boost the height.

I completely agree, one of the best buildings around. I love how it looks different from every angle that you view it. My second choice would be the Frost Bank Tower, probably my favorite building completed it the last few years.

I voted BofA Dallas.

I always thought Dallas had one of the nicest skylines in the nation.

My hometown love conquers all and I choose Fountain Place. I know BoA and even Reunion Tower are associated more with Dallas. But Fountain Place is really beautiful. The architecture and the simple design really get me. Plus the fountains themselves are such a nice surprise in the midst of Downtown.

I think the JP Morgan Chase Building a delight in design. I didnt just choose a building because it's big....design-wise it is great.

Ditto, my favorite as well and I'm the rare Dallasite that admits I like Houston's skyline a bit better.

There are some great pics of Fountain Place next to the Ole Red Courthouse - it's a beautiful urban contrast.

I went with Pier 1 Place.. Certainly not the tallest or the biggest,  but it's really unique and looks great lit up at night.
