Great projects.  Houston is a city that I've always wanted to get out and see.  I'm hitting Dallas, this year.  Hopefully, I can get out to Houston sometime next year.

LOL Why do a lot of Houston renderings look like forests with a cluster of buildings popping up in a few places?

This weeks Houston Business Journal has an article about two possible new towers that would be near the future "The Shoppes at San Filipe". Midway Cos. has bought a retail center and will team with another developer on a retail and residential project. Gables Residential Trust has also has two acres under contract. Both projects are still early in the planning stages.

A group has aquired a 1.5 acre tract of land in Houston's CBD next to the George R. Brown Convention Center and a new city park called Block 98. Right now they are planning to build a mixed-use project that will have two residential towers. Each tower will contain 150 units with one being rental and the other being condos. An architect has not been selected yet and construction will not likely begin for three years.
