I stumbled upon this great map program by the city:

Grand Rapids Satellite Maps

You can zoom in to a satellite photo of any part of the entire city.  Every individual property can be indentified along with its tax info: title holder, property value, lot size, etc...

If you live in the city, try your house - you're on there!

I would have posted it, but I assumed you guys already knew about that site.  I assume you also know that you can search kent county property records at: https://www.accesskent.com/Property/ (you can search a range of up to 5000 street numbers with this one) and you can look up assessment and tax info for GR at this page too: http://www.ci.grand-rapids.mi.us/22.

That is really addictive. Now I can find out what all my neighbors paid for their house.

Check out the assessed values for the homes on say.. reeds lake.. or some of the other upper class areas in GR.  You're right. those utilities can be REALLY addicting.  :D

Also check the mapping program at www.gvmc.org. Their aerials are updated annually, IIRC, and covers the entire metro ++.
