Austin ranked 3rd "Most Unwired City"

Austin placed 3rd in Intel's 3rd Annual "Most Unwired Cities" survey released yesterday. Intel ranked the top 100 cities and regions with the greatest wireless internet accessibility. The top 5 were:

#1 Seattle-Bellevue-Everett-Tacoma, Wash.
#2 San Francisco-San Jose-Oakland, Calif.
#3 Austin-San Marcos, Tex.
#4 Portland, Org.-Vancouver, Wash.
#5 Toledo, Ohio

Where other Texas cities ranked:

#23 Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington
#28 Houston
#41 San Antonio
#75 El Paso
#100 McAllen-Edinburg-Mission

Yes that is suprising, apparently last year they were ranked #64.

Thats some improvement for Toledo. What a jump.

Austin seems to do so well in many categories... what's in the water there?
