It looks like Duval Street could become better known as little Duval (county) if they keep up with all of the construction!

I like this, it really seems to fit in with the other projects under way. I'm an FSU grad and my brother lives in Killearn, so I really enjoy seeing all of the changes. Can't wait to get up there this fall.

What's at street level?  A restaurant? Retail?  How residential units will this project have?

^At street level from Brougnough Street there will be 3-4 levels of parking. The restaurant for this site hasn't been announced but there is talk of one in addition to a gym and possibly a small shop. They have approval for 26,802 sq.ft. of Retail, and 10,000 sq. ft. of office in addition to the 200+ residential units.. So this will be a true mixed use project.

Almost 27K sq. ft. of retail is fairly significant !

I don't really care for the design but it will be a nice project nonetheless.

^I can't name any names, but something that can cater to the nearby civic center crowds, as well as downtown would be a nice fit.

I'm thinking an Outback or Carabbas or some other type of casual dining place.

• Look for another crane to adorn the skyline. The BCOM folks are getting the Plaza Tower condominium project under way. They shared the news last week at a reception at the Mary Brogan Museum, where future Plaza Tower residents, BCOM staff and city officials were invited to celebrate. The groundbreaking for the 202 condos should take place this month. City officials say the permit has been approved, but it will be another 16 months before the towers are completely up

Well it is about d**n time! Finally my anxiety is relieved. Tallahassee is really on the roll now. I will try my best to go to the groundbreaking ceremony. Can't wait to see another crane from Ocala Rd. :)

I don't like the website for this project... its not very informative and is lacking in technical details.

I guess my frustration comes from the fact that this will be the grandest of all of the projects underway and its so "hush hush". I spoke with a representitive who tells me everything is well on track, units have sold quickly, and much of the privacy is due to the fact that this development is being poised as an exclusive, concierge lifestyle center.

I do... only because the Tallahassee Center began construction before the Towers. As you recall the BCOM had much to say about the other project that would join it on Kleman Plaza, and opposed the Osbourne Anderson Proposal of Market Rate apartments in favor of the Tallahassee Gameday Center because initally the Kleman Plaza tower was supossed to be market rate apartments itself. I'm truly glad they changed from rented market rate apartments to upscale living Condominiums directly behind our state's most important building.
