We’re going to keep an eye on them, believe me,” Lemieux said. “They’re going to be under a microscope.”
sorry to say, but this lady has nothing better to do with her life
a microscope? first thing you need to worry about in that neighborhood is not businesses moving in, but rather crime and stuff like that
my mother lives in the resevoir triangle and its not a bad neighborhood overall, but if these residents think another 75 cars minimum, 250 cars maximum, that drive in and drive out in small intervals between 730-830am and 430-530pm will make a huge difference, then they are nuts.. THEY LIVE NEXT TO RESERVOIR AVE! and RT 10 and ELMWOOD AVE, and AMTRAK Lines, and RT 95... the list goes on... if you live there you made a conscious choice to live next to mass transit lines and corridors. seems like people want to flex their muscles just for the sake of flexing them....
how bout this scenario miss lemeuix.... what if carlat builds the proposal like has planned and the people who work there and make decent money want to move into that wannabe neighborhood and walk to work and have their kids go to the reservoir ave school and shop at stop n shop and walk to roger williams park etc etc etc, DO YOU NOT WISH TO PROVIDE THEM ACCESS TO THIS POSSIBILITY????? ohhhh, only if you say its ok... my bad
in case you didnt guess it, i hate nimby's......

Travelling on 146S, on the right hand side in Uxbridge (just before the RI state line) there's a large metal framed structure going up. It's huge, too big to be one store I'd imagine. Anyone know what this might be?

It IS one store... sort of. It is a BJ's Club distribution center... massive, like 18 acres or something. There was a story on it in the Valley Breeze, not sure if they have it online yet or not.

I too drove by this for the first time the other day. It's jaw-droppingly large--if you're in the area definitely check it out.
Does anyone know if it will include an actual store, or will it merely serve other stores?

Yeah, I guess having Rt 10 right there gives this location some legitimacy. If the DMV get's built across the street then this is going to be one busy corner.

My guess is that it is essentially "done" now that Cranston street is reopened... However, Rt-10 doesnt really look done, especially the median on the northern end of the project, but I suspect this is because DOT doesnt want to pour any money into it because they will likely need to rip it all up again when they replace the Union Ave bridge and start the 6/10 Interchange project in a few years.
