well looks like Northeast Greensboro is getting a Lowes. Now all four corners of Greensboro has a super Walmart and Lowes. I expect NE Greensboro will get a Home Depot as well. The other three Lowes locations in Greensboro, there is a Home Depot within a mile.

So Lowes may be coming to where the old Kmart was -- now I called it as Home Depot since Lowes originally announced next to wal mart... interesting though

It's about time.  I wonder what other tenants will join that center, which to my knowledge is almost completely dead.

Hmm, I noticed yesterday that it looked like they were tearing down the old K-Mart shopping center. Does anyone have any information on that?

Yeah Lowe's will build their store there.

I haven't taken pictures specifically to share on this forum in a while.  I just happen to have my camera with me this afternoon as I was at the new Walmart (where Carolina Circle was) and the surrounding area.  Mind you..it was close to sunset...so they are not the best...But I figured that some here might enjoy seeing them anyway.  The first two are of Walmart specifically





The next photo shows some of the new area that they have been working on since last fall.  One place, Dot Fashion already has it's signage up.



Next, is a picture of the new IHOP being built in the shopping center out parcel area..



These next two pictures show the destruction of what was KMart as they get ready for the new Lowes:

Wow. It's starting to really look weird with that K-Mart almost gone. I went by there today, but I could only see it from US-29. I was also able to see some of the new signage at the IHOP.

Yeah it is!!! K-mart has been there forever... I'm glad Greensboro got another IHOP because the one on Westover is always crowded (too small for is size)

I got a closer look at it today. They already have a coming soon sign up for Lowe's at the former K-Mart.
