I hate this facade with a passion.

Sure, the rendering makes the building look gold, but it's more of this gross pinky peach color. Think Cheetos and Pepto-Bismol vomit.

Where is this being built? I am planning on being in LA over the Christmas holidays and just wanted to be able to place it.

well I was just in New Orleans a few weeks ago and it looks considerably better than the rendering, though not much to look at really.

It could be worse. I like the design of the building though.

It's OK by me.  It does look like a big 6 story toy building, in a way, when, in reality, it is a 30 story hotel that cost well over $100 million.

Yea its not the greatest color for a building(understatement!) but I guess it could be worse.
As Rural King said earlier, the design isnt to bad at all, its nice in many ways.

Yeah, I don't mind it. I do think that Harrah's should have been able to make it larger/taller with more rooms. I believe they have the right to more than 450 rooms because most of the guests of the hotel will be there for the casino anyway because of promotions, travel packages, etc. offered to gamblers nationwide. I don't see how this hotel would hurt our other hotels. For this reason, it should have been more like 900 rooms.

I am actually somewhat surprised that the building isn't worse than it appears in the rendering.  Its flamboyance is rather more toned-down than one might have supposed.  Still, I wonder how other hotels and restaurants are reacting to its proposed presence.  It would be a sad thing to wallow at a casino trough in a city of so many outstanding restaurants.
