This is really sad. White Rabbit has been a part of gay culture in Raleigh for 22 years and now it's gone. A part of culture, gone.

The space in Hue sucked. Downtown store frontage needs to be interesting and be located in clusters.

I understand their reason to move (to be located closer to the gay clubs) but their old space was so much larger and they carried so much more mechandise before the move. The new space just seemed so tiny and sparsly merchandised. Oh well maybe they will reopen somewhere downtown eventually.

Hmmm. This name could definitely confuse some with Tribeca Tavern which is replacing Michael Dean's on Falls of the Neuse right.

I really love Tribeca Tavern in Cary at Stone Creek Village. SCV is well laid out and looks good with multiple restaurants and, of course, Kilwins.

The space where White Rabbit used to be is about to have a new tenant. Tribeca Cafe/Lounge will open in May. Here is their Facebook page.
