Much Good Luck and well wishes to the developer that I really hope gets that damn Pepper Building moving.
I am however interested in why the Downtown Partnership didn't just pick another developer from the Pepper Building competition to work on the building right now instead of doing another building first. I know there had to of been some other really interesting proposals. Weird

You guys are lucky to get the Prioreschi's from Columbia. They are two of the principals of US Development and have forever changed the city of Columbia, SC. They have brought living to city center when nobody else thought it could be done. They are responsible developers and were crucial component to bring Mast to Main St Columbia.

I love their portfolio and their bullish attitude for downtown Winston-Salem has me excited. Several key properties have sat empty for years without any developers showing interest in adaptive re-use.

A Yes!Weekly article featuring a couple who installed a baseball mural at BB&T ballpark mentions that another anchor is planned for Trade. Jim and Alisa Keegan plan to renovate the former 13,000 sf Western Auto store into an arts village. The largest tenant will be a upscale seafood restaurant. The top floor called 'The Mermaid Lounge', will feature a performance venue, studio space for film production, and art gallery. The couple is going green with construction with sustainable materials, skylights and solar panels. The whole construction process will be documented through film.
