Townspeople leery of grand plans for Arctic
Has anyone been following the news regarding the development plans for the Artic section of West Warwick? It's disturbing that the local government there seems to be repeating the mistakes of the urban renewal failures of the last century. These officials are so blinded by potential property tax revenues that they completely overlook the long-term damage it will do to the city. Haven't we progressed enough to realize that seizing property and razing whole blocks of homes, businesses, and historic buildings is not a sustainable answer to the plights of distressed towns and cities?

Wow. Few details in the articles, but the developer's plans sound like flaming rubbish.
Good luck keeping those fools out of there...
