It's in the Ouachitas.  It's west of Mena on Rich Mtn I believe.  It's along the scenic Talimena Drive in the Ouachitas between Arkansas and Oklahoma.  By the way, Rich Mtn is just a little shorter than Mt Magazine.

Places like this should be publicized a lot more. I'm sure tourism numbers would increase if more people knew about the tourism opportunities in Arkansas.

Yeah it is probably one of those places many people in the state probably haven't heard much about.  I guess it's sorta off to itself at the edge of the state.

Once I-49 is built, its tourism numbers will probably increase exponentially.  I've been there a few times, and they always seem to have a decent number of people.

This map is centered on Mena...Queen Wilhelmina is on the ridge to the northwest: http://maps.google.c...04890&t=k&hl=en

I-49 should cut through the ridge.

Rich Mountain is like 70-80 feet shorter than Mount Magazine.

Yes Johnny nice pics.  And yes Hot Springs isn't a place you should overlook.  It's a pretty nice place.  It's not as urban as other places in Arkansas but it has a lot of potential.

It seems to be full of potential, and it looks beautiful.
I may be able to visit Hot Springs next summer after I drive up to Texarkana to visit my family, hopefully I will be able to!

This topic really needs to be revived.

Here's one of my favorite pics of Little Rock.

Yeah I had thought about putting a pic in here every once in a while but I have so many I just usually end up making a topic for it instead.

Yeah it is a nice pic, I'm not sure if I've seen a pic quite from that angle before.

Since some people may be put off by my now large thread or the large size of the pictures I thought I'd post a few of my favorites over here occasionally.  I resized them so they will a little more managable on people's screens.  Anyway here's a couple I liked quite a bit that I took yesterday.
