Looking at the render doesn't give it the appearence of 750 - 800 ft. but renders have a tendency to do that.

750-800 is very tall for a 60 story hotel.

I must say I love the NO rendering, Trump will propbably build some high ass ceilings so thats why the building is taller than it seems it should be...let's see some office building proposals...if there are any!

^There has been talk of a 900-1000 foot tall mixed use office/hotel tower going up in downtown near the riverfront.
Last I heard, the developers are still working on a plan that large after Katrina.

All these New Orleans developments... and I thought New Orleans was DONE! Just kidding... I live in N.O. :D
I'm just happy to see these developers follow through, thank God.

BTW, the Trump tower will be 70 stories, not 60... that would explain the abnormally high height.

We are only 11 weeks into the rebuilding process in New Orleans, and we already have a 750-800 foot tower ready for construction, a 47 story tower getting ready to be turned into something awesome, a 30+ story condo tower proposed for downtown/French Quarter, a 28 story hotel back under construction, and a 900-1000 foot mixed use tower in the works. :w00t: And thats just the major developments!
In many different ways, it's a very exciting time to be in New Orleans!

But to get back on topic, there should be many new renderings released of the new Plaza Tower(now called Crescent City Residencies) project, so I will post those as soon as they are released.

Louisville is in the planning stages of the new Museum Plaza being built just North of Seventh and Main (ajacent to the new Ali Center opening this Saturday). It is said that the Museum Plaza will be 40 stories tall which would rival the city's (and states) tallest buildings the Aegon and National City.
My Webpage
This should cover some of the details in on the project.

not bad at all. I love the Jade Ocean. It has architecture on the top that is similar to the Opera House in Sydney. I am a sucker for sweet tops on skrapers. :)

Huh, we cannot even get one beyond 12 stories here. 11 is the tops and we have three of those- the rest are 8-10 stories-several of those.
Not a place to live if you like real skyscrapers..... at least we have some taller buildings at least.

Can someone PLEASE come here and build a skyscraper at least 20 stories tall? How about 60? :)

RiverPlace Condominiums in Baton Rouge
Was going to be 36 stories, 450+ feet before Hurricane Katrina, but now is 30+ stories with the height unknown.Scheduled for construction to begin early 2007.
Also a 30 story mixed use tower is being planned right across the street from RiverPlace Condominiums, but no renderings or height info yet.

RiverPlace is a really nice looking condo tower. It would be half-way finished by now. An 18-month delay due to the hurricanes is the reason; it is still a big-time GO!

Baton Rouge's Skyline will dramatically change in 2007 with all the projects in the works!

Can't wait to see renderings on the new 30-story mixed-use tower to be built on the next block from RiverPlace.
