I dont like the caldar plaza. Totally kills that part of monroe. The buildings are set back and it makes it feel less dense.

Barry-Roubaix: The Killer Gravel Road Race, was yesterday at Yankee Springs State Park.  In just it's 4th year, it quickly grown to one of the larger bicycle races in the Midwest.  Around 1550 people were registered to race.

Here was the start line at 9:55am, just before the ~250 racers in the Pro/Elite categories took off to race 62 miles of hilly backcountry dirt roads with a couple sections of sandy two-track thrown in for fun.  Other racers did either 36 or 24 mile routes.
