Isn't it about time we put Concord Mills on here?   My favorite part of Concord mills would probably be Jillian's....had some good times in there!

It's okay.  I like Saks, Polo, Bass Pro, Nike and Blacklion.

My two favorite stores are the Bass Pro Outdoor World and the Black & Decker outlet.   The food inside the mall stinks however.   With the exception of Chili's it is mall food of the lowest quality.   The AMC theatre is better than most theatres in the Charlotte area.

I remember when Concord Mills first opened, boy were people just ecstatic over it........is it still ranked as the #1 tourist spot in NC?

^ indeed, it is ranked as the #1 'tourist' spot in NC.

I find the mall extremely boring and tricky to navigate. Its general design has been copied so many times, there are several of these things in Atlanta and I know of one in Nashville.

Sometimes when I am at the AMC there and I am inside watching a movie, I can sometimes hear the movie playing in the theater next to us.....and I have even sometimes heard the mall music through the walls while watching a movie.....

Actually, I have never been, and probably won't even make it on your side of the mountains for several more years.

Ralph Lauren Outlet all the way! By the way what's with them putting in that new Circuit City? It's not even an outlet. I do kind of like the Nascar Speedpark but I'm kind of geting tired of it. Every year the place evolves into more of "real" mall. I truly think they over developed that area with stores and all. There's some commercial space there that is not even being used.

I wondered about the Circuit City too.  There's not a store too far away in University City either

My guess is the Circuit City at University Place will eventually close.  That area is dying off fast and will look like N. Tryon in a few years.

You're probably right.  The North Tryon and Univ City corridor is dying pretty fast.  I think the shopping center where Circuit City lost a Kmart a few years ago too.  The Target down there might close once a new SuperTarget is built nearby.

You are correct, there was a Kmart there that closed.  The shopping center is only 11 years old so it is surprising to see it go so fast.   Rhodes furniture near there is also going out of business.

It would be ironic if that Target closed because when it opened, it caused the one at Eastway & N. Tryon to close.

But that Target, I'm guessing whe are talking about the one on University Blvd?  Is in a really good location and I don't see why it would close, even after they build the Super Target.....
