So far I'm having no luck finding 40th in Springdale.  In fact I'm having a hard time finding hardly any numbered streets.  At least around Sunset.

Preliminary figures from Springdale’s special U. S. Census released Tuesday show that the city grew to 61, 781 residents, up from 45, 798 residents in 2000. That’s enough to add $ 1 million in annual state turnback revenue beginning next year.

Yeah I saw that.  Guess everyone was right up there when they were putting out those types of estimates.  I'm still having a hard time realizing that Springdale is gaining so much ground on Fayetteville.  Of course I prefer Fayetteville's controlled growth so that the city is better designed but I guess I might have to realize that Fayetteville may not be the biggest city in northwest Arkansas in the near future.

I think Springdale's growth will dissipate in the future. The numbers could be skewed for all we know. It is the cheapest place as well to buy a home in NWA, so I guess much of their growth could be attributed to that.

I'm sure that some of the cheapest house prices in the area certainly help.  Springdale seems to really be geared towards building housing subdivisions.  Now they just have to do a better job of other types of city planning.

I hadn't thought about this but technically Springdale is now the third largest city in Arkansas.  Fayetteville won't have it's special census till next year.  So until then Springdale will technically be in third.

That's right.

Is Fayetteville's suppose to be around 70,000 or so?

Rogers's should be 48,000.

I generally see 68,000 to 72,000 for estimates.  Like I said Fayetteville will retake the third spot after it's special census.  But it's just weird to think that Springdale is technically third right now.

Some more news on Springdale Development.

It looks like Springdale will be getting a World Gym, along with one to be built in Lowell, one in Fayetteville, and a second on in Bentonville.

Oh yeah I drove by the new hispanic nightclub when I went to the Art Center of the Ozarks.  The Zabana in in a shopping center.  I think the shopping center was called something like Signature square or something like that.

Yeah I posted on it a week or so ago.  I actually saw a commercial for it.  I think it was last Sunday actually.  But I couldn't remember the name by the time I posted about it.

It sounds interesting. I'm glad to see more opportunities for the hispanic community.

Looks like Springdale now has a few new head coaches for Football.

At Springdale the Head coach will be Kevin Johnson, who was the former Assistant Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator at Springdale.

At Har-Ber the Head coach will be Chris Wood, who was the former Offesive Coordinator at Springdale.

Man, das450 has been hard at work while we've been visiting and revisiting to see if he's done.  Or if he's doing anything at all.

He's been idle for a while, maybe he's having a few problems.  I'm curious to see what pictures he might be posting for Springdale.  Jones Center perhaps?
