I can either upload them for you on my personal site, or you can find some free sites online that let you upload photos.

Mith probably knows of some of those sites.....

Once that is done, you link the photos with image tags and stuff.

This is how I do it; there might be some other way.

It sounds interesting. I'm glad to see more opportunities for the hispanic community.
It's sad that most of the hispanic stores and clubs in Springdale are in abandoned gas stations and old buildings that are in need of serious renovation.

Well you can't blame them. They're not exactly starting out at the top of the economic chain, and rarely in the middle.

They've got to start somewhere and slowly build onto that.  You can't start a city with a TCBY tower.

Only thing is they're not just starting out... most of the Hispanic merchants and eating places in Springdale are in the same sad state that they were in before I moved here in 1998.

Photobucket and Imageshack seem to the the two mainly used on here.  I started using Imageshack but I seem to have problems with them sometimes.  Photobucket might be better.  Start an account there and then you can post the images on here.  If you need some more info or help just let us know.

You can't always judge the food by the appearance of the building.  I've seen some pretty good food come out of crappy looking buildings.   :D

Thompson Road is starting to look like South Dade Co.  With all of the real estate investment in NWA somebody needs to revamp that area, especially considering it has such high visibility highway frontage.

Oh no, please don't get me wrong. I'm not referring to the Hispanic people or their products and services. I'm merely pointing out that the buildings they seem to be satisfied in occupying should be demolished or renovated.

As Aporkalypse was pointing out Thompson in Springdale is really becoming more of an eyesore.  Springdale wants to improve it's image, there's one good way right there.

I was just on Thompson the other day, man has it gone down.

It really does remind me of a street in a rundown part of Miami.

I haven't been to Miami so I'll take everyone's word for it.  I guess I haven't been down Thompson very recently but I imagine it's probably about the same since the last time I went down it.

Surely, with all of the growth in Springdale, they'll clean up some of those run-down areas.

I don't know.  I hate to feel like we keep picking on Springdale.  To be honest they have made some efforts like revitalizing their downtown area.  But to be honest it really didn't work.  Most retail that opened in the newly renovated areas seemed to stay open less than a year.  I think the city might be a bit wary of spending a lot more money revitalizing areas when their efforts in the downtown area didn't work like they thought.  Springdale in a lot of ways are running into some problems they caused by not being very selective on their building codes and not planning out growth and developments very well.  I think being in Fayetteville's shadow caused it to take any development it could get.  It's a bit weird because technically it's the largest city in NWA until there are more special census done in 2006.  But to be honest there's not much there to bring people in from other areas of NWA.  People in Springdale are actually more likly to go out to either Fayetteville or Rogers for entertainment.

I'm sure things will change...espeically if the area continues to grow at current rates.  That would all but force Springdale to clean up its bad areas.  I think most of Springdale is pretty well kept,  I wouldn't mind living there.

Honestly I don't think Springdale is as bad as what people sometimes make it out to be.  I think it tends to look worse because it gets compared to cities like Rogers and Fayetteville because it's so close to these other cities.  If it was further away or in another area it may not be viewed quite so negatively.  It can't be too bad because a lot of people are moving there.  It does have some of the cheapest housing in the area.  It just needs to find a way to become more than the bedroom community that it has become.

The southern half of Springdale looks just like Fayetteville...because it is right up against Fayetteville and is even hilly like Fayetteville. The mall is almost in Springdale.

There are some hills near Springdale but I don't think Springdale is particularly hilly anywhere in it's city limits.  That area between Fayetteville and Springdale is a valley from the creek that Lake Fayetteville is made of.  Once you get back out of that valley it is flat again.  There are some hills to the northeast of Springdale but I don't think the city has developed all the way to them.  Most of the NWA metro lies on the Springfield Plateau.  But the southern part of Fayetteville is the very northern edge of the Boston Mountain region.  I think somewhere east of Eureka Springs the Salem Plateau starts.

The northern part of Springdale is being developed...off of zion road, just opposite of Fayetteville, and especially a lot going on over along hwy. 265 (old missouri)
It's interesting that Lake Fayetteville Park goes into Springdale and is right next to the Springdale Country Club.

Yeah I've gotten the impression that Springdale is doing a lot of development along their northern half of Lake Fayetteville.  I saw some subdivisions going in when I was hiking along the trail there around Lake Fayetteville on the Springdale side.  Aside from the Botanical Garden, Fayetteville seems to prefer leaving Lake Fayetteville in it's more natural state as a park.
