Even though Dubai is having a skyscraper boom, there's always buidings that are never built.

Here's my favorite the Baridya Tower. This tower that was suppose to be 96 Floors and would have been more than likely mixed-use.

I really like the design of the tower itself, but not the top. It looks like a giant sombrero.
Though it would have been a very nice building.

i think this tower is being replace by the Emirates Hotel, which is supposed to be -upon completion- the world's tallest hotel and the world's second tallest building (following Burj Dubai)

^That also depends on wether Al Burj is built or not.

BTW, nice hearing from you DarkBlueBoss.

Here's a tower that still remains a vision.

The Golden Dome Dubai is about the largest, in square footage terms proposed for a Skyscraper in Dubai. The Colossial Dome would have been 120 Floors High, and would have 3,000 luxury townhomes, a 1,000 Room hotel 5 Star, A Mall, a 23,000 Space Parking Garage, and Office Space.

Here's a few renderings:

It's one of the most wicked projects designed for Dubai.

I don't think it will ever be built though.
