Nope.
The space is too small and since Park Plaza was Dillard's pet project when it was built Dillard's has the exclusive department store rights.
That space is too small for a department store but is fairly large for a standard store. My guess is Anthropologie.

It's a shop that sells scrubs for nurses, etc. There's one in University Mall and they also have locations in Ft Smith and Pine Bluff. They have multiple locations in almost every state, they must have a 1000 or more across the country.

Doesnt sound like a very good fit for Park Plaza...kind of disapointing. You'd think with all the renovations and attempts to be more upscale they would get a better tenant than this.

I agree. I'm assuming this is more flight from University Mall and they're closing the mall there. Still, I was thinking with the premium on upscale mall space in Little Rock right now that they'd be getting a better tier of store.

With J. Jill located just across the street, I wonder if J. Crew might be the new tenant for Park Plaza. I could be dreaming this up, but aren't these two stores usually located in relatively close proximity to each other?

I wouldn't at all be shocked if J Crew was the tenant, that makes good sense. I don't know about the J Jill connection.
I keep wondering if it will be a restaurant just because it's in the food court area and there aren't really traditional stores down there.

It wont be a restaurant, it will be retail. Posted earlier from Arkansas Times:
"Sherry Duggin, the mall’s assistant marketing director, said the tenant will be announced at a Nov. 11 ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the completion of the mall-wide make-over. Until then, all she’d say is that it’s a national retailer without a current location in Little Rock, or, according to the retailer’s website, anywhere else in the state."

The only reason I say that is because my wife was under that impression and I don't debate her when it comes to shopping. I think that was part of our wedding vows. That said, she could be wrong.

This store maybe filling another spot in the mall and not necessarily the renovated movie theater site. Remember Bombay Co. is moving from Park Plaza to Midtowne. It could go in the Bombay Co. spot.
Someone mentioned Payless Shoes also. It may be going in Park Plaza, but it is not the national chain with no other stores in the state that the release mentioned.
I agree with Apork in that it may be Anthropologie. The mall still needs a Nine West for my wife.

Nine West and Charlotte Russe should already be there. I don't know why they aren't.
Payless? Crap, GREAT NEWS.

It's definately retail according to this:

• Rumors have been floating around that Park Plaza is renovating the food-court level for a single, large tenant. Well, it’s true, but they’re not saying who yet. Sherry Duggin, the mall’s assistant marketing director, said the tenant will be announced at a Nov. 11 ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the completion of the mall-wide make-over. Until then, all she’d say is that it’s a national retailer without a current location in Little Rock, or, according to the retailer’s website, anywhere else in the state.
...let the speculation continue.

I was thinking Restoration Hardware, as well. That old theater space is relatively large and would give them plenty of space to stretch out. Originally, I had thought Crate and Barrell, but that seems much less likely.
