Beautiful... I can't wait to visit! I also can't wait until they set up that light rail segment in that area... it'd make it easier to get there from the Blue Line MARTA rail line.

Phase 1 of Historic 4t Ward Park is now officially open. Phase II and the skate park are currently under construction.

In its transit implementation study, ABI has (for now) abandoned the loop route in favor of four routes that connect with Midtown and Downtown first. The advantages of these routes are that they are more transit supportive now, they connect to the major activity centers - Midtown and Downtown, there is no active rail usage on the routes, the city already owns the ROW, and they would have direct connections to Marta rail. One and possibly two of these routes will be submitted to the Regional Roundtable for consideration as one of the projects to be included on the 2012 transportation tax referendum.

I heard that the new skate park was a homerun. I am so glad to see the progress of the Beltline. Even with the transportation part added in, it is already turning out to be a HUGE plus for the intown community and the overall quality of life. I look forward to taking a tour of it in the near future.
