This looks cool. It would be nice if the ballpark and that area would spur interest in getting Chouteau Lake going.

From the looks of it, a few tracks would stay there, but the majority would disapear. The lake plan for downtown has been debated a while ago.

If I remember from reading about this plan before (or for Metrolink), the tracks there are still used regularly and rerouting train traffic would not be realistic. This would be a nice plan to see go in effect. It would add some more "to do" locally to create neighborhoods with all the housing that is being renovated or added to the market. I also really like the idea that it effectively links the Arch grounds all the way to Forest Park and provides interest along the way. It would also link that corridor to Union Station, the Ballpark and would be accessible from MetroLink.
