I believe that the Slade project will be a nice addition to Tampa/ Channelside. Does anyone know if the top will be lit?

Demolition has begun on the first of two warehouses of Slade's site. Construction should begin in a few months. As they have reached their 55% sales plateau.

The Slade is having an official groundbreaking event 9/25 w/ the mayor speaking, etc.  The land is cleared and construction vehicles have been there for the past few weeks.  Sales are now at 60%          They are also celebrating the unveiling of a fully furnished model unit in the Sales Gallery across from the build site.

Looks like good progress is being made here.  It's great, by the way, to see someone taking interest in the Tampa forum!

The forum lacked leadership in the past, so I figured it would never grow. Now that it has some, it may be worth contributing and discussing. :)

BTW, I'm a mod for the Tampa forum at Skyscrapercity, so it's not the forum I'm taking interest in. It's the city I love and live in and hope to spread positive urban interest and info.

Please keep us up-to-date.  Have you heard anything about the Ritz-Carlton being built in Tampa?
