Nice shot RK.  I've seen that building before when in Knoxville.  Do you know what it is?

Here's my next picture of the day for Chattanooga.  It's another view of the Hunter Museum.

^ Nope I don't know the name. Its an great old building though.

The Hunter Museum is very unique, sort of reminds me of the Clinton Presidential Museum to some degree for some reason.

I did a little research on Emporis and found that RK's Knoxville pic is the Andrew Johnson Building. It was built in 1928 and is 18 stories.  It originally was a hotel, but was converted to an office building. Here's a link to Emporis

Downtown Cleveland looking south along Ocoee St (Hwy 11) The courthouse is to my right...

I guess you can see why Cleveland has been given the Tree City USA award from the National Arbor Day Foundation for the last 13 stright years

I guess it does from that angle.  But from the river, it's sort of reminiscent of Frank Gehry's work.  I like it better than what I've seen of Gehry's.

I plan to keep 'em coming.  So here's my picture for today.  This is the pedestrian bridge that was built in 2005 that allow people to travel between the Tennessee Aquarium and the Hunter Museum.  At night the entire walking surface illuminates.  Very cool!

Here's a view from the waterfront taken from the pedestrian bridge that crosses the Tennessee River.  In the background in Cameron Hill.  The apartments on the top are now in the process of being demolished to make way for construction of the new $227 Million 800,000 Sq Ft Blue Cross Blue Shield headquarters complex.  Construction is slated to start later this year.

That Market St Bridge rebuild is going to be so nice... it’s going to look like a new bridge when they are done... top to bottom...

That’s a sweet picture of the water fountains shooting into the Tennessee... I hope Chattanooga maintains their equipment around there for years to come... There is nothing sadder than a park where after a few years half the neat stuff like special lighting and fountains and such just don't work any more...

That's one concern I have too.  There are times when the fountains aren't operating now.  I think it's very inportant that Chattanooga provide funding to properly maintain all these new, wonderful things.

Here's a picture of the Cherry St Townhomes in Chattanooga as they were under construction last Fall.  They're located about two blocks from the waterfront, just east of the Aquarium.  The townhomes have just been completed and are sold out.

My next picture of the day is a shot of one of the many Civil War memorials on top of Missionary Ridge.  Battles raged for days on top of this ridge during 1863 which has a commanding view over Chattanooga.

^Great shot, Hankster.  Is that tree in the middle dead?  That's an interesting monument form.

The picture was taken in late Fall last year.  I suppose the tree in the middle had already dropped its leaves.

Another older Knoxville building. I really like this one in particular, I think it has to do with the facade work on the front of the building.

Thanks RK.  I like that one too, and i can't say that I've noticed it there in Knoxville before.  Here's my next Chattanooga entry.  Here's a view of downtown Chattanooga from Missionary Ridge.  The mountain in the background on the left is Raccoon Mountain, the mountain on the right is Signal Mountain.

Here's a picture of the Electric Power Board headquarters building under construction.  It is 8 stories and includes a 505 car parking structure to the rear.  The project is slated to be finished in June, 2006.

^ A very sharp building. What is the Electric Power Board? A part of the local power service provider/co-operative?
