And so the Grand re-opening was last week! Wow, I'm pretty impressed with the new line-up! Natick Collection is now the biggest mall in New England with 270 stores!

Kind of an interesting fact: Natick Collection has added over 7,000 parking spaces since the expansion! And wait, there's more! A new beautiful streetscape addition to the mall is set for October 2008.....this mall has seriously gone under a transformation....I can't wait to see it!

I have finally gotten in there. It's a nice addition, rather much more modern and upscale. Rounded, airy, they have most of the big name operations in there. And a Crepe place that seems to have some major operational difficulties. It doesn't really fit in with the rest of the mall, though. And I wish they had something other than clothing and jewelry. Still, at least this mall is doing well, unlike Solomon Pond.

Aside from being in a terrible location, what's wrong with Solomon?

It's inability to attract and keep shops?
Actually, it's not a bad location at all. It just isn't meant for people east Marlboro. It's more, well, suburban, shall we say. But hey, it's all we got, right?

Well, it's right next to 290, got it's own exit for the sake of argument. But, it's not really near anything, except the highway ... and all the stuff that was built up along the road to the mall after the mall opened. It seems detached from Westboro, Marlboro, and Worcester.
As for the stores, it looked mostly occupied the last time I was there, about a week ago. I don't go there often enough to see how things change, but I really only pay attention to the Newbury Comics on the second floor by Sears. (Even then, the one on Route 9 in Shrewsbury is closer to me.) And the food court, but that doesn't change often.
