Where is the old Quincy's?   On Wade Hampton?

Yes, it is on the northern side of East Wade Hampton Boulevard between SC-14 and SC-357 on the eastern side of Hardee's.

Where specifically are Copper River Grill's locations in Easley and Seneca?  One of my friends wants to try it out.

The Peacock was not the only project Craig Golden & Davis debuted yesterday.  They also debuted the new Greer Municiple Building at last nights City Council Meeting.  I'll post images when I can get them.

Also at last nights meeting, annexations were finalized that should block Riedville and help provide CPW acess to the new schools.

The article can be read here, but no renderings have been provided.  I am looking forward to seeing this project.  They have a great track record of producing uniquely attractive structural designs. :shades:

There is one pic on here now where you can kind of see the rendering in the background: http://greenvilleonl.../607190423/1004
-It will be brick, three stories tall, and have a clock tower on one end of it

I am glad that Greer went with a downtown location rather than that place on Wade Hampton.

I reported this earlier in the morning in one of the Spartanburg threads.  It has the potential to make a huge impact, including the developing of 500 acres.  It will be interesting to see if Greer can annex this land to help make it happen.

There is an article in todays Herald-Journal That is a bit more informative.

Here are two quotes"

"The project would cover about 500 acres and would be the largest development of its type between Charlotte, N.C., and Atlanta."

"The development in question is called "mixed-use," a master-planned community like those that are found elsewhere in the country."

Guys, due to the incredible size and potential impact to the Upstate, I have made a dedicated thread here. Lets keep the majority of the discussion about it there. Thanks!

I agree that this project merits its own thread but, why under Spartanburg? Why not keep the topic under Greer updates? Better yet, why are Greer updates under Greenville and this project under Spartanburg? (I know the county line runs through the middle the city but then, the same could also be said for some projects.) Maybe Greer should just be under South Carolina it sure would make things easier to find.

The assumption that the project is not planned for an area already within the city limits of Greer could likely be off base. After all, all indications are that it is Greer and it's development arm, GDC that have been working on this project.

That thread is going to be moved to the Greenville section. All Greer related threads will be here. Duncan/Lyman/Wellford and Reidville, etc. threads will go to Spartanburg.

As a compromise, I will create a list of projects in Greer for our shared city in the Spartanburg section. I ask that as you create new threads related to Greer that you add a link and a brief topic description to that thread.

It's official, Ryan Steakhouses is being sold.

Ryan's Steakhouses sold to MN company.

Anyone know the impact on the corporate employees ?  Not likely to be good news.

Greer may land a large indoor sports complex that would host tournaments year round.  It would be a "large facility with multiple indoor courts, including gymnastics, aerobics, volleyball, basketball, indoor hockey and soccer."

Read more here.

The indoor sports complex would be a terrific asset to pursue.  It would be another place to play sports inside besides Taylor's Pavilion.

When specifying indoor hockey, are they speaking of indoor ice hockey or indoor street hockey?
