I live in Johnston and one of my friends told me that Johnston has the highest percentage of Italians in America??  I believed him if he would have said out of RI, but out of all US?  Does anybody know if this is true?  Just wondering.

Something about this was reported in the Journal not to long ago. Johnston just edged out a town in NJ.

yeah, Johnston has something like 54% of its population claiming to be of Italian descent.  Just beat out Hammonton, NJ.

RI has highest percentage of italians of all 50 states

i couldn't find the city listing.
