I think Davis furniture has moved into the Steve & Barry's site. I saw a commercial touting over 100,000 square feet of showroom space.

When did the movie theater become a second-run discount cinema? I was over there a couple weeks ago and noticed that.

According to the Cinnebarre website, the change happened on October 1, 2010.

Thanks for the info. Most of Asheville's theater prices are outrageous, so I don't mind waiting a month or so and paying less than half the price by going here.

WLOS and others are reporting that Bass Pro Shops will open at outlet at BSM. Certainly good news for the mall. Maybe they can get some more of this type of business.

It's safe to assume the store will open into the mall interior? If so this store should at least temporarily inject some life into the mall....as long as the B.P.S. shoppers wander into the mall...are they tearing down a vacant anchor to add Bass?

There hasn't been any news about Bass Pro Shops since the rumor surfaced back in May. (There was also a rumor of Macy's going there.)

Bass Pro is more likely than Macy's. Macy's is not building any new stores in the Carolinas, and never has as all of their stores are takeovers of Hecht's or Rich's.
