Franklin Street was once the main street in the city. In the 1970's it was converted into a pedestrian mall, then all the businesses closed up. Now the city is in the process of reopening the street to automobile traffic to encourage redevelopment in the largely decayed, but historic area. Here are a couple of pics along Franklin.
