Players get a kick out of being green
Liakos Ariston, whose family owns the building on Southeast Third Avenue between Ash and Pine streets, wants to add a field, spectator area and greenspace on 20,000 square feet of roof. The field would accommodate a type of soccer called futsal, which is played in smaller spaces with a smaller ball and fewer players.
Interesting concept. I can't wait to see the finished product.

sundodger -- do you still now if this plan is still slated to begin work this fall?
id really like to see it happen, plus it would be fun to be in a league eventually where you play your games all on different buildings through portland.
