Article from The Birmingham News

It is to be expanded by 400 acres in Bibb County.  That river is a very precious asset to Alabama.  It should be preserved and protected as much as possible with all the urban sprawl and growth that is occurring with Greater Birmingham and will occur in the future around Central Alabama.

I really hope that it doesn't turn into Wheeler NWR where Decatur, Huntsville, Madison, Priceville, Hartselle, and Somerville have almost completely grown around it.
