I imagine the mayor will just breeze through for 5 minutes on his way to another engagement anyways. I all the time see a fleeting handshaking version of him. If I didn't have photographic proof, I'd be convinced he didn't actually exist.

this is his annual thanksgiving food drive, and it is lots of fun. But instead i'll be listening to the pros and cons of abandoning Barkeley street. AGAIN.

Well, just approve it and you won't have to hear it again. There is a city sign on Barclay Street stating that it is not a public way, I assume someone on the Hill might have 'borrowed' that from somewhere else though.

i am uncomfortable with blindly abandoning streets without ever seeing the plan for what will be going there. That's how we ended up with all those abandoned valet parking allys over off atwells.

I wish someone would abandon my street, maybe I should write up a proposal. I'd love for it to be a pedestrian way. Of course it needs some little pocket neighbourhood retail to give it an excuse to exist. Believe me, I've sim-city'd my block, if I won Powerball it would be gorgeous.

When it snows I frequently feel like my street already IS abandoned.

I have heard from Planning that these items will not be heard tonite because the applicant requested a continuence . I am not sure about Adie Street partial abandonment. I can't remember if that was related.

That's not related to Benicio Del Tower.

I assume the Waterman easement is related to the Brown Walk project.

Providence Capital Center Commission reorganizes. The joint state and city agency that oversees building projects around the State House has reorganized and cut expenses. The office’s administrative duties have been transferred to the city Department of Planning and Development.
