Brookwood Interchange - Then And Now

Wow - for those of you that have not checked out Atlanta Time Machine recently, there have been some amazing additions lately.

Buckhead already has a skyline that some tier two cities would love to have.  Now plop those eight 40 story City Place Condo Towers into that skyline and I honestly believe it would be more impressive than MOST tier two cities.

I agree that buckhead has a skyline that many cities would love to have, but what impresses me the most is the amount of cranes you see in those pictures.  I am not from Atlanta and I read most of the post about the developments on here, but how many buildings over 20 stories are actually being built (not planned) right now in the city?

razorbackfan - At the present time, 13 are actually under construction over 20. A couple of these (Gallery & 12 Centennial Park I) are just now topping out.

Thank you for the information...it just amazes me that there are that many buildings being built there.  Your skyline is already very nice but to see it in 10-20 years down the road is going to be a sight to see.  Being in my lower 20's I really enjoy spending time in the buckhead and every time I come it seems like a totally different place with so many new places/bars.

You're welcome! I have to say that I have lived here for 21 years this month, and although Atlanta never really stops developing - what we are seeing now is a complete transformation. We have seen really exciting tiimes here, but nothing on the scale of whats happening now. I can confirm that the city has totally embraced highrise & dense living and the trend is gaining more and more steam all the time. I honestly see no signs of a slowdown in this market - especially ITP.

What is the ITP?  I have actually considered moving to Atlanta...the company I currently work for has its North American Headquarters in ATL and I have considering moving there to move to a bigger city and to experience a different way of life...I figure since I'm young and single now would be the time to do it.

Yeah, sorry guys - ITP=Inside the Perimeter/OTP=Outisde the Perimeter.

razorbackfan - You should seriously think about doing it! I did it when I was in my 20's, and I have NEVER regretted it. Alanta has been very good to me.

^ Those are some really good pics....minus the traffic. I really need too make it down there one day, I have alot of family down there but they always travel up here. I haven't been there in 6 years, then to top it off, we stayed in Peachtree City...way out in the boondocks.

From my afternoon stroll around Buckhead today:

Parc @ Buckhead (now blocking the view from the building behind it!):

The Mansion, 3344, and Terminus:

Any ideas what this will be at the corner of Wright Way and Oak Valley? I'm assuming a condo/townhome development:

I take it you didn't use a Canon PowerShot A40 with standard lens for those like I did for mine.

I'm moving this to a slightly more appropriate forum. Keep up the good work, guys :)

Anyways, here's a shot of my own of the skyline along the Downtown Connector from the 17th Street Bridge:
