Why do people say that Louisville is not Southern?

I mean sure Louisville definetely has some Midwestern influences, but Louiville is physically and aesthetically Southern

It boogles me too. How some (not most) will look at these maps or other facts and see that Louisville is a half Southern and half Midwestern city. I can see where they will see some Midwestern trats in the city such as it's German population, But other than that almost everything else pionts South.

This sounds like a topic that one would find on SSP or SSC where pissing contests like this are common.   It serves no purpose here.
