nope... and i saw a plow drive down atwells around 5.  they're waiting and ready.  i wonder how much money the state/city is now wasting because everyone went nuts over that one time it snowed and they didn't start plowing/sanding until after we had 4 inches on the ground.

Just imagine all this rain we're getting... if it was snow.

Today I had the door open at work (before it started raining) ... let the air come in while it was warm.  Been a while since that could be done without wasting tons of energy.

It has been in the upper 70s and 80s here. I think it might be time to take the flannel sheets off the bed.

I love Vermont anytime of the year.    One of, if not the best, states I've driven through. Anytime of the year.  ;)

perhaps you should actually get out of your car and enjoy vermont.   :P

the weather was great except when it was in the 90s or when the wind nearly blew a tree onto my car.  it's easily my favorite state (yes, it tops even RI) and burlington is my new favorite city.

Well Jim, things aren't all they seem. I could say more, but won't at this point. It's called the real world. But your a smart guy so I'm quite sure you'll figure it out.

So my work fax is on the distribution list from RIEMA to get emergency weather notifications. Thing is, I receive these notifications usually 10 to 15 minutes after the weather has passed.

The fax might as well say, "Were you looking out the window 10 minutes ago, that was a hell of a storm wasn't it?"

John Ghiorse Announces Retirement

John Ghiorse has been a "factor" in Southern New England weather forecasting for more than 40 years. He was the first television meteorologist in Providence when he joined NBC 10 in 1968. John left the station in 1983, but he returned to Storm Team 10 in 1998. His trademark "Ghiorse Factor" has been a popular part of his weathercasts for decades. John has announced his retirement. His last day will be Feb. 27.
