Decatur.

Sorry.

Guess this wasn't an overwhelmingly popular idea as all that happened was my spelling was corrected!

Oh, I think it's a great idea. Just bring it up again when the ice melts.

Oh no worries. I wasn't offended. Just thought it was funny!

Yeah, when spring comes it would be cool to have people give walking tours of their neighborhoods. Good way to learn about "off the beaten path" goodies and the essence of a certain neighborhood.

Or several drinks spread out at various establishments:

Julian's
Nick's
The new french place on Westminster (bound to be open by the time the ice melts)
MoJoe's
La Prima
Mi Ranchito

What is the new french place? And where on westminster? We were just at classic cafe this morning and that block of empty storefronts between classic and the block of white electric would be perfect for some new retail.

What, Grant Dulgarian's prosthetics/uniform shop is not what you would consider 'highest and best use'?

It is further west on Westminster. 1447 or thereabouts, near the park and the WBNA neighborhood. Yes the area you speak of would be great for some new retail.

It is not open yet, but they way they are working on it all the time, it soon will be.

Hey, does anyone know anything about "Stair Well" on Broadway next door to the new Nicks? It looks like a galllery but has a really elaborate espresso machine....

It is a gallery, kinda just popped up out of nowhere aroud the time the new Nick's opened. They do have openings and stuff, but I have never been in. I believe it is just a gallery, not a coffee shop <_<

Hey- I keep meaning to ask-  How come the discussion around here so often centers on Westminster or Broadway, but we hardly ever (if ever, at all) talk about Cranston St.?

Seems to me that Cranston St. is the real commercial center of the West End- aside from Atwells's very specific niche- and also has the greatest potential for the development of a real full-service, walkable neighborhood.

Cranston Street is also one of the densest streets and its busline has the one of the (if not the) highest ridership in the RITPA system.
