I was wondering if anybody can tell me the best colleges in the South for somebody majoring in Geography or provide a list of schools.

Not sure about geography but you can't go wrong just going to the best school possible.  Having a Duke degree, for example, will open a lot of doors even if the school isn't known in particular for its geography offerings.

Geography isn't my field but I know a few people who have done their coursework in that field.  Whether or not they're in your definition of "the South," I know the Univ of Maryland and James Madison Univ have very strong geog programs.
