You bet! Just so happens that I took some 'drive-bys' this weekend. I focussed primarily on the 3 most active projects downtown:
AMLI 2, which has topped out, 360 condos (up to 15 stories), and Monarch (16-17 stories):
Start with Monarch...
This is taken from West avenue, just south of W 5th Street

From Bowie Street (between 5th and 6th):

The last 'standing' pile of our favorite Intel building:

360 Condos:

AMLI2..topped out:

This guy's photographing our now famous public art, and I'm photographing him photographing our public art, which just so happens to include AMLI 2 in the background

Overall Shots:

The Shore, from the Ann Richards/Congress Bridge

Thats it for now... stay tuned for more.

The Monarch .. I believe it is now in the 18-19 story range. Counting the crown, the Monarch should peek above the South Austin horizon, from this vantage point, when complete.

Zoomed in...

more West Campus construction

10-story parking garage well underway

UT Royal Memorial Stadium expansion (only cranes are visible at this point)

SW Austin/The Terrace

Yep! Looks like they are starting with work on the facade. Thats fairly common with high rise construction.. the outer cladding starts rising well before the building's frame has topped out.
BTW... it looks like the entire 17th floor is now complete...giving you a good idea of the footprint of the remainder of the tower, up to the 44th floor. Work should begin on the 18th early this week...and really begin to rise fast! Additionally, the height of the crane will increase at some time over the next 10 days.

Agreed! FYI.. those huge transmission lines in the foreground were installed within the past few years. I believe they were related to the adjacent Triangle project. It kind of ruined the view from my perspective!
