42 residential floors 16 hotel floors = 58 floors.

You didn't read carefully.

There aren't 42 residential floors.  The residential is on what the website calls "levels" 32-58 which is actually the 17th floor thru 42nd floor.

Has anybody seen renderings of Novare's development of the Roxy site?  Any information, # floors, etc?  I believe they're supposedly planning to start construction late this year, I'm surprised at least some renderings haven't been circulating.

I don't know of any rendering yet but I am anxious to see this project.

As I was saying earlier it is a true infill project and promises to be unlike anything Novare has done in that it will be square instead of a rectangular shaped buidling. Its been completely redesigned from the original plan which now calls for 22 stories and 263 units. .

Also the architect for this project is one Novare hasn't used before to my knowledge, Stevens & Wilkinson, who have done a nice job restoring the Glenn and Winecoff and designed the Hilton Garden Inn downtown.

S+W is a much better firm than Preston, et al... design wise-- In my humble opinion...

Terminus 200 held its groundbreaking ceremony a couple of weeks ago.

For the new rendering go to portfolio of Duda Paine.  You'll have to click the down arrow a few times to get to Terminus 200.

Terminus is turning into quite the development. I was at the Dicso Kroger not to long ago. As I was coming out the store, I paused as I looked up and over to the rising towers and 100. It really looked impressive. I an hardly remember what it looked like when it was just Hotel Nikko....I mean the Grand Hyatt at that corner. I do remember the lawns were to die for.

This rendering is in the current Southern Seasons Magazine. It is about the Sovereign and is on page 95 entitled "Artfully Designed  inside & out".  In an excerpt of the article it reads  "Soaring 635 feet into the sky..........."  hmm, i thought it was 660' Nonetheless, It's a good article. There is also an article about TT & a very cool rendering of Trump Towers Atlanta.

FYI, they've updated The Mansion's website with new videos such as a Virtual Tour and Buckhead CID. They've also added Progress Photos.

And, if my calculations are correct (and judging by the current floor construction), they are to the point where the exterior moves inward again. It looks like there's only about 14 floors left. They've also started working on the street level stuff - I'll try to snap some photos today.

For those of you salivating over the 3630 Peachtree development by Novare....

I drove by the site yesterday and I saw more heavy equipment. I drove past there this afternoon and all the beautiful trees on the site were felled. I hate to see trees go but I guess this is the true sign that 3630 is about to rise. The skyline of Buckhead is being stretched northeastward.

While not the most exciting architecture ever, I do like they each tower is set back from the street.  The 2-3 story facades lining the streets will make it much more human-scale for pedestrians/shoppers.

It reminds me of LA's Rodeo Dr. and Wilshire Blvd.

I never thought I'd say this, but the area is slowly gaining and urban streetscape.  Now, they just need to get some road connectivity going (this project obviously does well in that regard)

Regarding 'the new Buckhead village'
(Much) Less than inspired architecture... boring and cheap-- If this is indeed what the final construction looks like this will be a very large missed-opportunity indeed... 3630 on the other hand, is a pretty decent design...

I doubt five-star hotels and high-end shops will be cheap at all.   And since it will be built in phases, I doubt that the design of the towers is set in stone.

I think the model was geared more towards showing off the streetscape. I don't see how anyone can really get a feel for the buildings architecturally given the vantage point, which is more street-oriented and less oriented towards the buildings themselves.

I agree.  I think many are reacting to the towers but I think they are practically irrelevant in this development.  This project about the street level for a change.

By the way, they are changing the name to the Streets of Buckhead.  I don't know why they don't just call it Buckhead Village.

Vertical mixed-use project 3630 Peachtree has at last broken ground, although the latest plan from its four prominent developers calls for one instead of two towers.

^ From the ABC....not sure why they wouldn't still plan the second tower for a future phase.  Maybe someone has a subscription and can fill us in.

What kind of a name is Streets of Buckhead???  This is totally ridiculous, and lacks any panache whatsover.

I agree with Verge, the architecture does look boring and cheap.  I'm holding my breath and hoping this is just simply a bad model, but I'm also having a negative prediction this is going to turn out to be a HUGE missed opportunity.
