I did not see anything at Bele Chere that indicated that the project was about to begin. I'm guessing it died a quiet death, but I could be wrong.

I sincerely doubt that this project, as originally proposed, will ever get off the ground. It was the peak of boom-time excess. How much of a market is there for $300+ per night rooms and $million+ condos in Asheville? I don't doubt that such a market exists, but I doubt there's 23 stories worth.
