These photos are courtesy of kota16 and his note is below:

These pics are close to where I live and show some city street shots and the Holdfast Bay beach area.We have a Mediterranean climate here.

Large pine trees and palm trees in the same place... very interesting. Looks real nice.

Thanks a bunch for your courtesies Neo.Adelaide is really the Gateway to the Outback, and the dry interior. The pine trees are Norfolk Island Pines and were brought here in the days of sailing ships. The trees make good ships masts. The palms are the same that you will see in Mission Delores in San Francisco or Italian  coastal cities, being Grand Canary Palms.Although only a city of 1.1million people,Adelaide was once the home of Rupert Murdoch who now runs his global empire from USA.Also the old Sydney Kidman home is here,he owned 120 cattle ranches and was the largest landowner in the world.Cheers, Kota16

Beautiful shots !

To me, the development looks a little like parts of Florida's Atlantic coast.

I'm curious, what do Australians think of the "Crocodile Hunter" Steve Irwin ?

Good Question about Steve Irwin!.Yeah! Oh well it takes all types to make a world. Hopefully the media will focus on Mary Donaldson from Tasmania, when she marries Denmarks Crown Prince Hendrick on May 14th,and forget about Irwin. They met at the Olympic Games in Sydney in 2000.

Great pics!  I wish I had the chance to explore Australia.  Haha, if I did, I'd probably never come back here.
