As the title implies, I just bought a nice old house with some hideously outdated cabinetry.  Since I'm out of cash for a while, I've elected to strip, sand and paint the cabinets.

Well, that's gone great, except I *cannot* find the hinges I need to work with these beasts (threw away the old ones - tactical error, I know).

Does anyone know of a good hardware/hardware surplus store in the area where I might be able to find some cool hinges?  (specifically, I just need 3/8" offset outside hinges, preferably 2.5" c to c)  I've checked the normal places (HD/Lowe's/ACE) and haven't found anything - I'm running to Adler's on Wick tonight to see if they've got anything, but does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks!

Steve

Despite their name they dont sell any real hardware.

I think its going to be all about hitting up the last remaining mom and pop places. After that its online. You should certainly be able to order it online.

If you decide on new pulls, The Ikea stuff is fantastic and a LOT cheaper than Lowes or HD. Definitely worth the trip. They also have a lot of organizers and bins and stuff that you should be able to modify for older style cabinets, as well as those great soft-close piston thingies which will install on most any cabinet with a little finesse. Theyre only like $0.50 a pop as opposed to $4-$5 for the named brand varient...

Great, thanks for the suggestions, guys.

Now I just hope I can get out of work today before they close!
