Not sure how long it's been announced, but this is a HUGE event to benefit the park expansion. They are expecting over 50,000 people to be there (I know I will be) and that doesn't sound like an odd number as much as people travel to see Dave. This is a big deal for Midtown and the surrounding hotels and restaurants. People will travel in to make a weekend out of it.

I've love this too but where are they going to put 50,000 people ? Certainly not in the Meadow.
And since they're selling tickets, what are they going to do, fence off the entire park ?
I bet those people opposed to the parking deck aren't too happy about this, even if Dave is telling people to "use MARTA" .

I'll be sure to snag some nice pix of 1010, Viewpoint, Onyx, and Mezzo! They all should be creeping above the trees by September.
Onyx is on hold as the developer continues to have issues. Luxe on 12th street is well under way though and you could get a shot of just completed Aqua on 10th & West Peachtree.
I'm interested to see how this is going to work but I think its a great way to raise money for the project.

Hmmm, I've not heard of them before. I'm guessing from the name that they must be hard rock.
