Road Home Buyouts  <----------  From The Times-Picayune.  I am somewhat surprised that certain neighborhoods, such as Lakeview, have buyout percentages as high as they do, yet only 25% of the Ninth Ward Road Home applicants are electing the buyout option.

Those reports are interesting because Central City, Broadmoor, Carrollton/Hollygrove/University & Audubon Park as well as Irish Channel are all Uptown. For future reference, all those areas should be lumped under Uptown. Real Estate & Development firms are good for making it seem like those areas are separate from Uptown when they encompass the whole Uptown region. Especially with Irish Channel/Uptown, one is a sub-neighborhood and the other is a region.

Here are the stats as of 1/17/08.  The AMS convention took up my time last week, so I'm a little late getting these out.  All of Orleans Parish has crossed the 60% mark.  I would like to add that the number of eligible applicants statewide is nearly 26,000 than the number of applications received.  Thus...these numbers probably will never get to 100%.
