Normally, I wouldn't do this sort of thing, but since I've been posting in the Atlanta forum for a long time now, I figured I'd let you guys know.

I'm moving down to Statesboro in August (around the 10th, I believe) to go to Georgia Southern.

Don't worry, I'll still post here, but I'll probably be posting more in the Statesboro section now. I'll still check in with you guys pretty often, though.

Have a blast man.  I know I did.  Do us a favor and snap some campus picks.  I haven't been down there in probably 5 years (I graduated in '99).  There was major development going on down there when I left and I'd love to see what the campus and town look like.

Wishing you the best in your college career, IC! Any idea what you'll be majoring in?

Congrats IC, Georgia Southern is a great school and you'll be able to visit my hometown of Savannah, GA. :)

Once again, congrats and good luck!

^^Yeah, Savannah is a great town. I might make a couple of day trips there every now and then on my weekends.

History Education, probably. I love reading about the past.

However, I have also considered English (my parents are a retired High School English teacher and a Speech Therapist--it seems to run in the family) and Theology.

I can guarantee from first hand experience that this is the one thing there will be no lack of in Statesboro. ;)

Ah yes, Georgia Southern.   I work with some Southern graduates and my brother's girlfriend is a Southern graduate.   Judging by them you'll be around some good people.   Have a good time down there!

Ah... our boy is going off to school!  Really - congratulations on the big move & enjoy college - don't take it too seriously, it doesn't matter how you get your diploma, it is only getting the diploma that matters.

Alright guys, I'll be leaving for college this Friday! I may not have regular internet access for most of the weekend until I get my dorm room set up and my computer hooked up. I'm sure you understand. Wish me luck!

Why do I feel like a proud mother?

Congratulations Irony. May all your hopes and dreams come true. You will be a true asset to the Southern family. Learn all you can. Never put your open cup down unattended. Have fun but remember you are there to learn. No cramming if possible....you may pass the test but you somehow forget what you learned. Wait, I'm sure you have heard all of this so......

Good Luck Irony. :yahoo:

Oh yeah....Go Dawgs! Sorry, I could not resist.

Well, guys, I'll be coming back to the Atlanta area for the summer break from Georgia Southern soon (by this weekend, in fact).
