You're right. Not only did it seem to blow through the permitting stages, but the space filled up quickly as well.

Theres some real activity going on at the site now.  I think the central elevator shaft is being framed.  How long will the foundation take to be poured?

I saw that elevator shaft last night. I looks nearly 20 feet tall now.

Thanks I was standing on monroe street at the edge of the fence, at the corner there, the fence is open and a clear view of the property from that vantage point.

I don't know why, but in the image above there appears to be a sub-surface level. Is it just me, or does someone else notice this too?

So it may just be me. But when I initially saw this picture, I thought you were standing up on a much higher platform than the mere sidewalk.

Nope just the sidewalk, was funny though, when i was on the sidewalk shooting the trio (Wachovia, Doubletree, and High Point centre) picture a lady cautiously ducked under my picture, I thought it was funny that people identify my phone as a real camera! haha

Yes it seems it take nearly 30 years to learn basic manners, young folks dont like to show anything or be nice, they are more captivated by being sloppy and selfish.

I was wondering the same thing.  I'm not sure I have ever seen the likes of this.  But I do believe this will actually be an appreciably tall building.
