It's sad to see them go, but they were both pretty outdated. It has been years since I've been to either one of those cinemas. I rarely went to the Showcase West, either, but I plan on going a little more often seeing as they've dropped the ticket prices to $6.

I'm sure that the new theater in Grand Blanc is killing Showcase East, since it is old and was never updated with stadium seating.  National Amusements has been pulling out of the Michigan market for a while now.  Flint was their last major presence here.

It sucks that East closed. Now i have to either go to Lapeer or way over to west. Probably better off even going to the new one in Grand Blanc.
