Now, I know we probably aren't supposed to do this, but there is an awesome thread on another board about New Orleans' skyline growth over the years. I was so blown away by it that I figured I'd post the link here. If it is a problem, please delete this thread. It will remind us all of New Orleans' glory years... the oil boom. A time when New Orleans' downtown growth was the envy of every city in this country. A good memory for all of us on this sad anniversary today. Enjoy...

Wow TSmith! Thanks for posting that. I went ahead and replied over there too. Great transformation of the CBD skyline between 1970-87'!

Good lookin' out. New Orleans' census count stood between 557,525-593,471 between that time period. If that growth continued today, New Orleans would be in the top 10 largest cities list.
