STRATFORD — A major condominium and marina development at the Harborside Restaurant may be in jeopardy after a melee erupted outside the restaurant's nightclub last weekend, spurring calls for the Town Council to rescind the project's approval. Stratford police were forced to summon help from several outside agencies — including Milford and State Police — when several large fights broke out in the parking lot outside the club and the surrounding area at about 1:30 a.m. Saturday, resulting in 10 arrests.
As a condition of the project's approval, the town's Zoning Commission imposed a requirement that the nightclub be closed when the condos are ready to be occupied — but that's at least two years away.

Perhaps the most interesting this of this whole situation is... Harborside is one of the more (if not the most) upscale of the restaurants in the town. And then they on the weekends sink to the lowest common denominator to get some more cash. Ought to be one or the other. I'm surprised they're allowing this as it is.
And having been to Harborside on an occasion and been past in on many others, I'm curious as to where they're putting these condos in comparison to the restaurant. Cause right now there is a great view out onto the Housatonic River and towards the Sound and would be kinda bad if that was lost.
